Description
Financial Adviser / Small–Medium Practice – CAR / SAR Licensee Opportunity
In a heightened regulatory environment, choosing the right licensee matters more than ever. Join a well-established AFSL aligned with a broader licensee services ecosystem — providing strong governance, clear advice boundaries, and access to scale benefits typically unavailable to standalone practices.
About the opportunity
My Plan Group (AFSL 528220) partners with experienced financial advisers and small to medium-sized advisory practices seeking a transparent, well-governed CAR or SAR arrangement.
This is not an employment role.
It is a contractual licensee relationship for advisers and practices operating (or transitioning into) their own business.
This opportunity may suit advisers who are:
Reassessing their current licensee arrangements
Seeking clearer governance and accountability
Looking for a licensee aligned with best-interest obligations
Operating their own practice or transitioning from employment
What you’ll do
Operate and grow your own financial advice business under our AFSL
Deliver advice supported by:
Clear advice frameworks
Defined best-interest processes
Structured compliance oversight
Provide advice across:
Superannuation & retirement planning
Investments
Cash flow & budgeting
Centrelink strategies
Risk insurance
Retain ownership of client relationships
Meet CPD and professional obligations with ongoing licensee support
Technology, scale & commercial advantages
As part of a broader licensee services network, advisers benefit from scale-driven commercial arrangements that support both compliance and profitability, including:
Access to IRESS or Morningstar AdviserLogic software under group-level pricing
Established Approved Product List and research frameworks
Centralised compliance systems and reporting
Shared service infrastructure typically reserved for larger dealer groups
These benefits allow smaller practices to operate with the tools and efficiencies of a larger organisation, without sacrificing independence.
Optional lending capability (separate to advice)
For advisers who are also qualified mortgage brokers, or who wish to add lending capability, access is available to an independent lending-as-a-service provider.
Lending activities conducted under a separate credit licence
Clear separation between advice and credit services
Structured accreditation and compliance frameworks apply
What we’re looking for
Qualified financial advisers with 3+ years’ experience
Existing advisory practices or advisers transitioning from employment
Education standards met and adviser exam passed
ASIC-authorised to provide general and/or personal advice
Strong professional conduct and compliance history
Australian work rights
Why join My Plan Group
Governance-first AFSL model
Alignment with a larger licensee services ecosystem
Access to group-level technology pricing (IRESS / AdviserLogic)
Cost-effective AFSL fees compared to institutional licensees
Weekly revenue payments with transparent reporting
Full onboarding and transition support
Access to paraplanning, compliance, training, and CPD
Optional, clearly separated lending capability
